Anyone out there impacted by Sandy?
Watching all the coverage has made me want to classify more. How about you?

I live in the North of Germany, so I could not recognize the intensity of 'Sandy'. But all the days along I follow very attentively the news on CNN and on the german tv.
I must say, I was impressed, but also scared about the size of this storm and which consequences arised on the big cities like New York and New Jersey.
Very bad, of course, if we see the infrastructure, for example the power supply in the cities in the East of the United States.Encouraged by many features (cold winds on the land etc.) 'Sandy' grew up to a big storm, which does not happen very often.
Maybe the 'set' of sattelite images of 'Sandy' will be included here on 'Cyclone Center'.

Struck, perhaps we can get Sandy up there for classification some day. Right now we are working on the years 2010 and 2011. Have you seen the couple of blog posts that I wrote on Sandy? See blog.cyclonecenter.org
