  I guessed #embedded-center due to the circular cold clouds but how do I find the center in such a close up? I cannot find any swirls

  Good question. It could be a #shear-storm because there is a flat edge on the east side and a tight gradient of color.

  If #embedded-center, usually the center will be under the coldest (blue) clouds, maybe shifted toward where the colors change fastest

  Its not clear from the close-up whether it is over land or over ocean, but regardless it is near land and so possibly #land-interaction ?

  A glance at #ibtracs reveals that this is just after landfall in SE India. The white line is the Indian coastline.
