Cyclone Center Talk
This is a great example of a developing/warming #eye within a very cold #cdo (central dense overcast). Shape can infer intensity/phase...
Actually looks like a system that should have been warned as a #tropical_depression or weak #tropical_storm...did it maintain the convection
Stronger Tropical Cyclone to the SW. Very close indeed...wondering if this guy sheared out and spiraled into the stronger storm.
You can kinda see a rounded wedge shape from NW to SE across this storm. It is being negatively affected by outflow wind shear from ...
Hope you were able to do a detailed classification for a center location fix. Very nice.
#banded-eye-feature...this is an erosion of the northern eyewall manifested by a thin area of red and orange with a ragged appearance.
IMHO this is a weak hurricane/cat1 stage... (Dvorak T4), kinda classic.
Actually #eye or #curved-band would work. This is a #banded-eye-feature... the top of the curve band scale when the wrap encircles.
Broken banding or initial development... very difficult to see any real low level features (or midlevel features for that matter). Neatcase
Ya, looks like a small CDO/#embedded-center with a peripheral #curved-band. Nice looking storm
#raggedy-eye possible, but looks like multiple lobes of vorticity trying to consolidate. Also developing towers on eyewall will distort shape
System is elongated W-E but is well embedded in central blob. Not much shear more like dry air on north side.
